This is a specially made dish for a particular Paneer loving girl!! Also this is the first veg dish I am making!!
Ingredients:
500gms Paneer (cottage cheese) (cut
into little cubes)
4 medium size Onions (diced)
2 Tomatoes (diced)
3 tablespoons of Garam masala
2 tablespoons of Coriander
powder
3 teaspoons of Red Chilly
powder
1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
2 teaspoons of Pepper powder
Salt to taste
How to MAKE:
First sauté the onions in oil
and when they turn a slight shade of golden brown, make them into a paste in a
Blender. Sauté the tomatoes and when they start to wrinkle, make a paste of
them in a Blender. Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and add the onion
paste. Sauté till it reduces and loses most of the water. Then add the tomato paste. Cook the mixture
till the raw smell of the tomato is lost. Now deep fry the cubed Paneer (Cottage
cheese) and add this to the onion-tomato mix. Cook this for about a minute and
then add all the different powders mentioned above. Stir this well and add
water if a thin gravy is required. Cook it on a low flame for 5 minutes. Serve
hot!
